The testimonial can mean the difference between a sale and a prospect walking away without giving your product a second thought. Why is that? What is it about testimonials that can make it so that in spite of almost everything else, a great thumbs up from a happy customer can have the dollar signs flashing like cop cars in the night? Well, if you're not sure of the answer, this article is going to explain why they're so important and give you three tips for tantalizing testimonials that will have your prospects falling over themselves to buy your product. Okay, so why does a thumbs up from a satisfied customer make such a big difference? Well, because the world is skeptical. That is a fact that we need to deal with. This skepticism is the result of so many people being burned by bad products and bad marketers. The scams running rampant online are enough to make you sick. So when a customer testifies that your product is good, it not only gives your product credibility but also puts the prospect's mind at ease. The problem is, many copywriters don't know how to go about getting good testimonials. So these three tips should help. First tip is to put together a questionnaire for the person who is going to provide the testimonial. This way, they're not groping in the dark trying to figure out what to say. Not everybody has a way with words. However, with a guideline of questions, they'll simply be able to answer them and that will make it a lot easier for them to put into words what they want to say. The second tip is to take the answers and rework them into a form that is going to look good on a sales page. Now since you can't change the person's words, what you're going to have to do after this is send the reworked testimonial to the person for their approval. Most people will have no problem with this and you'll have something that is going to be perfect for your sales page. The final tip is to make sure your testimonial looks good. This means displaying it in a handsome Johnson box with a photo of the person who sent it.
