I am fairly active in the Warrior Forum. I say fairly active in that I have made 3067 posts in around 10 years. I used to do it to learn how to make money online and now I actually make money from forum marketing. There is an Internet marketer named Alexis Smith that has over 20,000 posts and most of them took her some time to write. They are solid advice with very little fluff. There was a marketer this week who made his 1,000th post and was offering some advice on what he had learnt. He was from England so I guess they say learnt and not learned like we do here in the states. Anyway, he offered some really good tips based on his experience posting and reading in the Warrior Forum. I believe what he said because it made sense and he was coming from a position of experience and not rehashing what other people had written. You can get a lot of good from discussion forums. Why do we do it? For me it is 4 main reasons. 1. I get website traffic. The Warrior Forum archives their threads. When I post my traffic increases almost immediately. It's interesting that I continue to get traffic long after I originally posted because you never know when someone's going to read one of the archived threads. 2. I make sales. Our article writing orders increase when I post. I also make advertising sales from the traffic that comes from my signature file. Discussion forum marketing is profitable for us. 3. I believe in the Golden rule. I like to help people. You can do that when you participate in forums with the right attitude. The Golden rule basically states do unto others as you would want them to do unto you. When you help out by offering good advice you will get that back tenfold. You post by trying to be helpful and you end up with website traffic and more sales because of it. 4. I learn a lot. Much of my early Internet marketing training came from what I read in the Warrior Forum. Today I still learn a lot because there are constantly changes going on in the world of Internet marketing. It's hard to stay on top of everything new. Spending a little time each week in the forum is a good way to keep current on those changes. If you are not active in discussion forums I would highly suggest you find one relevant to your niche and get involved. It's a lot of fun, a good way to learn, and can be a good way to make money when done correctly. If you enjoyed this article by Jeff Schuman please visit his make money online website today.
