Titleist is offering two new multiÂmaterial, dualÂcavity golf clubs for sale — the AP1 and the AP2. "The AP1 and AP2 embody significant improvements in feel, forgiveness and shot control to what had already been recognized as a revolutionary step forward in iron design," says Steve Pelisek, general manager of Titleist golf clubs. While the heads of the new Titleist AP1 712 irons best price are the same size as their predecessors, their most significant new feature is a progressive blade length. "The long irons are about the same size," said Chris McGinley, Titleist's vice president of golf club marketing. "But as you go through the set, we brought the blade size down. That lets us make the long irons more forgiving and the short irons more traditional." The Titleist AP1 712 irons feature two tungsten weights in the sole of the club that increases the MOI of the club without having to make the head longer. This means that it is very forgiving for its size and Titleist say the shot disperson is smaller than the previoius AP1 model. Certainly we found it to be very easy to hit and pretty forgiving, even if the trajectory was a little higher than the similar sized Titleist MB 712 irons. The AP2 712 irons best price have a more square profile than before, a feature specifically requested by Titleist's Tour players. A forged carbon steel head is aided by a high-density tungsten weight, creating increased playability. Titleist wanted to improve distance control and achieve a more consistent ball speed with the 712 AP2 irons. This was done by increasing the MOI by 7%, without impacting workability or control. A dual cavity design pushes weight to the perimeter for playability without losing the ability to shape shots. The Titleist AP2 712 irons feature a dual tungsten weighting in the sole of the club that accounts for 20% of the overal weight of the clubhead. This increases the MOI of the club by 7% without having to make the head longer, which means that it is very forgiving for its size and Titleist claim that it has a 6% smaller disperson than the previoius AP2 model. The Tuned Feel System is a comolded medallion of soft elastomer and an aluminum plate. This insert has been designed to improve sound and feel. For the thinner-face, larger-cavity AP1, a more lively feel has been created. For the AP2 a softer, more solid feel is achieved.
