The more personal you can get with the visitors of your website, the more likely they are to gain "bond" with you. And this is very important when it comes to converting a lot of your prospects into customers. Sure standard copywriting procedures are important, but if you can add the element of getting personal in your copy... you will have a great chance of maximizing your sales. I want to share with you some ways that you can get personal with your readers when they read your sales page, or squeeze page, (or lead capture page). These tips are simple and easy to do, and once you start using them and see the good results that they bring, you won't go back to any ineffective techniques. Here's personal tip number 1: 1) Tell a story about yourself Storytelling is a great way to keep people interested in what you are saying. If you've ever been around a friend who told a funny story, you know what I mean. Well, this same concept can be used when writing the copy for your sales page. Tell a personal story that is related to the product or service you are selling. As soon as you begin, make it interesting. You want to capture their imagination for as long as possible, but you don't want to make your story too long. Make it long enough for them to gain a sense of "bonding" with you, and then relate it to how your product or service can help them out. This is a very powerful strategy, and is something that I use all the time in my business. Here's another copywriting tip for getting personal with your reader: 2) Write like they're in front of you Too often people make the mistake of appearing "professional" and "grammar friendly" with the way that they write their sales copy. This is a HUGE mistake. You should always write as if your prospect was sitting directly in front of you. Nobody wants to sit and read a boring website - especially one that is long and not fun. To get around this, talk to them like they're your friend. Yes, they don't know you, but they soon will - as soon as you start talking to them like you're their friend. When you do this, not only will they feel inclined to read the rest of your page, but it will also improve the chances of boosting your conversion rates. Good website copy is "THAT" powerful. These 2 tips for getting personal with your website copy are things that you will want to implement in your business today. Make sure you make your sales page interesting from the very beginning. From the start of your headline, all the way to the very first sentence of your sales pitch. It's not hard... the more you learn about website copywriting, the better you will become. A great copywriter once said, "You have to put your 10,000 hours in." Well... you have to put your 10,000 hours in. If you want to be a great copywriter for your products and services, this is something that you need to do. So keep that in mind. Good luck with making your sales letter personal. writing work
