As we all know, Mizuno makes some of the best and best looking irons in the world. And without exception, this Mizuno MP-64 irons is one of them.
Each Mizuno MP-64 iron is Grain Flow Forged from a single 1025E Pure select mild carbon steel billet for a pure feel. The longer irons feature a deeper cavity, providing forgiveness where it is needed most. The cavity depth progressively reduces down to the short irons which are thick and exclusively feel-orientated.
With numerous regional and national fitting centers it's essential to get custom fitted to get the best out of them. They just feel amazing and the flight is fantastic with a tight dispersion. These can be combined with the new cheap golf clubs as a long iron replacements if you struggle with the long irons, which give extra forgiveness and higher launch.
"I'm sure [the greens] not as good as they'd like them to be," said Graeme McDowell, who visited Oak Hill on Monday. "They seemed to have lost the surface a little bit. I thought they putted well, but there's not a lot of base to them. They're going to be very soft and like [Woods] said, they're probably not going to be very fast. The longer irons were not as intimidating as others in this category, but the short irons disappointed slightly with their oversized profile. They didn't seem to fit in with a better player's set and didn't offer the level of workability we had anticipated, although the wedge is strong at 46 degrees. This allows the sole to be a little wider than usual for an MP iron and the MP-64 has the weight a little lower in the sole than the Mizuno MP 53 irons for sale.
To sum up, the MP-64 will be ideal for low single figures golfers who want more control than the cheap Mizuno JPX825 irons, even though there is not much in it.
