A Guide to Sydney's Nightlife

Business

The Sydney nightlife is known for having some of the best places for hanging out, drinking, dancing and all-night partying. There are a lot of local clubs and social hubs that can indulge every single nocturnal party-seeker. Of course, this is to be expected as the massive, multicultural city is one of the liveliest cities in Australia, after all. This is rightfully so since it gives the office workers the greatest opportunities to unwind every Friday night. Needless to say, there is never a one-night-per-week nightlife for Sydney as everyone gets to enjoy partying non-stop all weekend long as well. The seemingly endless fun nights only get better with all the diverse joints in which one can take their party spirits from one place to another. Of course, in order to make the most out of the remarkable Sydney nightlife, one should know the best places to visit. Here is a guide in finding those gems among the night clubs in SydneyFirst, you need to find a place to stay in as the crazy nightlife in Sydney will most certainly take you for a ride. Sydney CBD has Shangri-La Hotel, Hotel Ibis World Square and Sydney Harbour YHA which are the most suitable choices for luxurious personalities, regular guests and backpackers, respectively. Meanwhile, the Daimant Boutique Hotel, the Bayswater Sydney and Kings Cross Backpackers are the best choices in the same order for those who want to headquarter at Kings Cross. Not only are these accommodation well-suited for the certain types of visitors, they are also right at the core of Sydney’s nightlife. Once settled in, you can then proceed to look for the clubs Sydney has, either at Sydney CBD or Kings Cross. The following are some examples from each district.

For Sydney CBD, there are One22 and Goodgod Small Club.

One22 – Found below 122 Pitt Street, it has a subtlety that makes it all the more exciting for regulars and newcomers alike. The place makes use of its under-toned setting to exude a laid-back and intimate appeal. With the powerful house and techno beats that empower the atmosphere, this proves to be one of the strongest clubs Sydney has.

Goodgod Small Club –This club emphasizes on variety as it deals with a rotation of retro, hip-hop techno and even indie nights. It most certainly is one of the most unique party scenes, even having an interesting backstory as an old backdrop of a Spanish restaurant that went under.Furthermore, it is one of those night clubs in Sydney that pulls in known personalities.

Kings Cross, on the other hand, has the Chinese Laundry and Club 77.

The Chinese Laundry – Known for its distinction, this club attracts many partiers for its unique features. These include the cave equipped with a high-grade sound system and the outdoor dance floor. Suffice to say, this is one of the major party hotspots.

Club 77 –What once was only the joint for the Goth and fetish community has effectively transformed itself into one of the most enthused electro houses in Australia. Dirty electro and dubstep keeps crowds of people coming back for more in this certified party headquarters.
