Extinguishing systems in UAE The concern about safety issues have been determined by the rising number of buildings and businesses that are drastically vast in UAE. Awareness about the need for growing extinguishing systems in UAE has been created by a number of exhibitions and conferences. Homeland security, commercial security and security problems in other class have leaned towards extinguishing systems for better results. As these programmes have been supported by the civil defence, police academy and other important organizations in UAE, it has been attracting international suppliers and manufacturers of extinguishing systems from all over the world. Importance to conserve the security and stability by extinguishing systems has been targeted. The research and development departments in many institutions are being funded by the government to innovate simple, cost and energy efficient extinguishing systems. This has resulted in the introduction of fire retardant technology created by few suppliers of the safety equipment and security solutions. This success of this system was pre-determined as would be in great demand as long as there would be fires to prevent and extinguish. Fire accidents which happen unfortunately are at times inevitable. The main aim at those situations would be mainly to reduce the damage caused to people and product. This has been done by using sand and water since a very long time and is still is used in specific kind of fire accidents. The latest extinguishing systems introduced in UAE has targeted the blaze which would put off the fire quickly and reduce the damage caused greatly. The storage tanks holding hydrocarbons have in UAE have been adopting a special extinguishing system. In this technology, the tanks are linked to a central control room which produces faster notification of signals and alarm. As anti- catalytic reactions have proved to effectively extinguish hydrocarbons this system uses trifluoroiodomethane. Offices and ware houses that contain valuable electronic data and equipment along with high-value goods are demanding aggressive fire extinguishing systems. Halon gas has been widely used as a fire retardant. Though this has proved to be very creative the environmental issues caused by it is bringing an end to this technology. The next generation clean agents have entered the market as a replacement to the halon gas. This does not damage the ozone layer and leads to global warming unlike the halon gas. Fire extinguishing systems in UAE have started to invest in this creative technology as it has colossal safety margin and faster extinguishing time compared with other extinguishing systems.
