When people read your letters, it is important that they feel intrigued and excited about the mission trip. Catharine Hardyman suggests that students study how to write an effective missions letter before mailing out dozens of notes.
- Make the donation process easy. Catharine Hardyman recommends that students set up an online fundraising page. It is important that people can easily donate to your trip without much hassle. Catharine Hardyman states that the more convenient you make the process, the more likely people are to give.
- Make your message viral. Catharine Hardyman recommends that students actively touch base with their donors to spread news about the trip. It is also important to share the news on social media to reach more potential supporters.
- Speak to your congregation. Catharine Hardyman recommends that students speak in front of their congregation during the fundraising process. Many churchgoers will want to support the cause of your trip, especially if it is affiliated with the church.
- Corporate sponsorship. Catharine Hardyman states that many students receive a significant amount of funds from corporate sponsorships.
