It is said, Ping series Hybrid performs great! It was a shock when I saw the Ping G25 Hybrid for the first time. It is available now and comes in lofts of 17, 20, 23, 27 and 31 degrees. The G25 hybrid looks compact yet offers just enough body to really look and feel forgiving. I found the forgiveness of the G25 allowed me to hit a consistent 210 yards with this club over and over. It probably was the most repeatable hybrid I have every hit. Every shot really seemed to do the same thing. The sound and feel of the G25 hybrid are as pleasing as any hybrid you will ever hit. Ping has really dialed in their sensory feedback in all their clubs as of late. It offers a solid thwack yet just enough pop to really feel hot off the face. It matches the Ping G25 fairway wood very nicely. The matte black crown with the glossy black face and sole are stunning. The shape is also very pleasant. It doesn't have a giant offset nor does it look like it is going to hit the ball straight left. The G25 has softer edges and a shallower face to give more of a mini fairway wood feel to it than other cheap golf clubs offerings. I like this a lot and I suspect many golfers will tend to agree with me. It fit into my bag seamlessly as far as the yardages that I needed out of it and it definitely looks like it’ll be staying put for quite a while. Every time someone else got a hold of this club for the first time their reaction was similar in respect to their fondness for the look. The more I saw good shots, I started swinging more confidently and aggressive and what I found was the ease of hitting good shots remained intact. I liked that regardless of the shot I attempted to hit the cheap Ping G25 irons was more than up to the task. I didn’t push the limits of the distance. I knew that 225 yards was my range and putting a good smooth swing would put me right there. Overall, I am able to maintain trajectory and distance with the G25 hybrid even out of the thick stuff. I did hit a couple of long fairway bunker shots with it and the flat sole and beveled leading edge seemed to work quite well. I am really happy with the turf interaction of this club.
