How to market your business with promotional items

We all know that marketing is important for any business. This is the definition of spending money to make money. If no one has heard of your company than they won’t come to you for your products or services regardless of how good they are. This is an important thing to remember. If a competitor offers a worse service but they put a lot into their marketing campaign, they’re likely to do a lot better than you. Annoying, isn’t it.

When you’ve got something great you should be talking about it, because this will encourage others to talk about it as well. Promotional items from companies such as Supreme Pens give you a chance to get your name out there, so people know you exist. It’s then time to wow them with your services and your stock, and get your customers to give you a bit more word of mouth marketing once they know how good you are.

After you’ve decided that promotional items from Supreme would be a worthwhile investment for your business, it’s time to think about the design.

Your logo might be full colour, but some of Supreme Pens personalised items can only be printed with one colour (bear this in mind if you’re working from a budget as this is likely to lower the costs). To get round this, there is often choice in the colour of the object itself. If it comes in your company colour, you could choose to that, with a simple black or white print, or you could choice a neutral coloured product, and have your logo printed in one of your company colours. Make sure you pick the right one, and if your branding uses several colours, pick whichever will be most readable.

Black text on a white background is frequently cited as the most clear colour combination – which is why you see it so often. Colours which are too similar just won’t be readable. Avoid yellow on white, or navy on black, instead opting for maximum contrast.

Make sure any fonts you’ve chosen can be easily read even when printed small. There’s nothing worse than marketing materials which can’t be deciphered! Personalised pens, key rings and stress balls will all have relatively small print areas. And that isn’t to say they’ll be thrown away – your clients will probably still appreciate them, you just won’t see the benefit.
