I’ve always been leary of the term “Game Improvement” iron. For whatever reason, it seemed like code for “your game stinks”. I was fitted for the g25 irons for sale and G20 irons. To be frank, they are amazing.
Speaking of the grips, the ones that come on the ping g25 irons for sale’s are from PING and I’ve found them to be quite comfortable – not overly aggressive and very receptive to my hands. When I compare them to the grips on my other clubs it was easy to see that the off-the-rack irons are made for people without pigmy hands like I have.
You can see from the pictures that the G25’s have a unique color and when standing over them addressing a ball there is virtually no glare or any type of distracting aspects. They have a very traditional look and in no way do they feel like an oversized beginners club. Without a doubt the best feature of the irons is their ability to handle off-center hits. With my previous ping g15 irons any off-center impacts sounded like a piece of lead being dropped on a broken cymbal.
It is safe to say that the Ping G20 irons are a different animal than the G15s were in terms of performance, feel and overall package. At setup, the clubs look eerily similar, but that is where the changes begin to creep in. From the first swing you take with the G20 irons, you get a different audible impact sound, which translates to a softer and smoother feel through the hands. This sensation was something that I begged for in the G15 line and for the most part, thought was the only thing missing to that release.
The Ping G20 irons tested were fitted with the Ping CFS steel shafts. Engineered with fewer steps throughout, the new CFS shafts deliver a smoother feel. The shaft offers a high ball flight without any ballooning that would kill off distance. Of course as one would expect from a company that stands behind fitting as much as Ping does, there are a number of different shaft options available for the golfer.
I like the look of them. Offering more forgiveness, faster ball speeds and more distance control these are irons that should be on every golfer’s short list to try. You will get a bit more forgiveness from the G25 Irons! They are similar in length.
