Valentine’s Day is round the corner and thus, it is the hot topic of discussion at one of our get-togethers! My friends, most of them in new relationships, are very excited to celebrate the day with their partners. I was also an active participant in the discussion, and made sure to put forth my opinion, whenever asked for! All of a sudden, one of my friends realized she hasn’t planned anything for the day for her boyfriend. And then one after the other, all of them started to discuss the probable gifting options. So, our supposed get-together turned out to be a ‘gift discussion session’! Phew… How I hate all these discussions! Today while I sat down to write, I recalled most of the options mentioned during that discussion. I thought of putting those thoughts down on a paper before they are erased from my memory. May be these options can be useful for you, if you are looking for romantic Valentine’s Day gifts. One of my friend suggested getting personalized mugs for herself and her partner with ‘Lots of Love’ printed on it along with a cozy picture of both of them. Not bad an idea at all! Instead of mugs, even beer glasses or wine glasses could be gifted with messages inscribed on them. Continuing the discussion, another friend figured out that her husband was in love with attractive décor. Yes, décor! I too was taken aback, but people have different likings, don’t they? While looking for Valentine's Day gifts online, she found lovely wallpaper which could be customized. One could change the wallpaper color, add a message, and get it delivered to their doorstep. She decided to order one for her bedroom wall. Honestly, I personally loved this idea. Taking the décor idea forward, another one suggested getting a bedspread with cute little hearts printed on it would be a great idea. To add to the romantic ambience, she even suggested buying heart-shaped pillows. Then, we had a digital photo frame suggested by one of my friend. She collected all the pictures of hers, her boyfriend’s, and even of their respective families. A complete storyboard was created in the digitized form. With digital world coming into picture, one of my software developer friends had a unique suggestion. She decided to make a website on the Valentine’s Day theme and dedicate it to her husband. She included pictures of their wedding, their trips abroad, their holidays, her pregnancy pics, and also their dating ones. I personally loved this unique gift. She even wrote a small story about their marriage and life. One of my friends was really obsessed with paintings. She decided to get an oil portrait done from one of their common friend. A cozy picture of the couple was transformed into an oil painting. Taking a cue from this gifting option, another friend of mine realized that her husband was painter and had a cherished painting of his! However, the painting was on the verge of getting damaged. She decided to get the painting framed. This was one of the most sensible gift amongst the ones that were discussed. A super rich friend had already made plans for a holiday to an exotic location abroad. All the reservations were done and she was super excited about the idea. Understandably so! Another one had plans to host a house party for a few common friends of the couple. Champagne, dance, food, and lots of romance were on the menu. Finally, the last one suggested getting inked. She had booking a session with the tattoo artist for getting inked! There were the 10 gifts discussed in that party. May be you all add a few more to this list! All the best for your shopping!
