Animal Farm is a book written by George Orwell. The book is about the rebellion of animals against human beings. The animals got their freedom from human beings but were later betrayed into worse lives by their leader Comrade Napoleon. George Orwell has written this book as a satire on the Russian Revolution under the leadership of Stalin. The book is still important and touching our lives as it was in 1940’s. Because today we are also having the same slogan ‘all humans are equal, but some humans are more equal than others’. Even in international relations the professors of different universities recommend this book to their students so that they can understand politics in a better way. Animal farm tells us about the term ‘power’. How it is sometimes bilateral, uni-lateral and most of the times multilateral… According to Samuel Huntington there will be a clash of civilizations in the calling few years. But it's surprising to see that Orwell knew about it and published it in his book the Animal Farm. Today, we live in a world that has different continents. Each continent has different country. All these states are governed by democratic government or a dictatorship (but mostly are governed by democratic governments). But nonetheless, democracy and dictatorship are equal, because after one becomes an elected leader he acts like a dictator whether he is from the army, security forces or is chosen by the people. The topic is going somewhere else, what the topic should be, yes, how the internet will remain as a free source, with information available to all people in the world and that for free? Earlier this week, ‘reddit’ – a website, It’s founder said that he is not the mayor of the Internet. Though, he played a major role in stopping the SOPA and PIPA act. Despite the protests worldwide, Congress was reluctant at passing the bill, but after some opposition from its own party leaders, it stopped. In reality, It should not be only in the hand of one country to pass Privacy act laws. Instead, as the internet is a world wide web, all countries should have right in accordance with their population to choose this act. Or in simple terms, a referendum should be conducted that can tell which path to choose. As the saying goes… ‘I am not the mayor if the internet’.
