Math teachers always have to answer number of questions from their students and most common of them is “Why do I have to study math?” The answer is simple yet difficult to explain to children. Math is an important subject as it develops a child’s logical thinking as well as opens horizons of various future possibilities. A person can be claimed as successful depending upon how well he/she can solve a problem. Irrespective of situation one is in he/she would be happy in knowing the fact about their ability to solve problems and tackle them well. While kids don’t potentially recognize the problems themselves hence they don’t know how to solve them. Math teaches children to tackle them logically by stimulating their brain with problem solving questions. Math gives us a strategy to solve problems by series of steps and then later evaluating the results. This strategy can be used in everyday life to identify problem, implementing a solution and evaluating the outcomes. Just as we exercise our body to build endurance and strength that keeps us health and pushes our physical limitations, math helps in building mental endurance and pushes our limitations of logical thinking and reasoning. Let us take example of quadratic equations. We all adults know that we never have used them in our adult life. What was the purpose of learning them? The purpose was to boost the brain to juice out the logic that has been there. There’s no doubt that problem solving eases out the difficulties faced in making complex decisions. It has been said by the researchers that solving problems of algebra stimulates brain to think upon new ways to understand the problems and built connection to get an answer. Neuroscientists consider brain as a plastic which is modifiable. Hence having more experiences in solving complex problems would boost neuronal circuits giving a better problem solving ability. This is a more scientific reason about why math is important but, in our everyday lives it holds a very important place right from monetary matters to simple counting of things we need math. Hence not knowing even the basics of math can lead you many embarrassing problems. Future of children depends upon math that’s why it’s considered as one of the most important subjects. For career in medical, science and technology requires good knowledge of math for career advancement. Even for a career in finance, banking and management one needs to have basic knowledge of math. Parents and teachers always had wanted and still wish that their children and students excel in math and have a brighter future. We cannot say math is only subject that gives you a better career but math is subject that integrates into our lives and open doors of multiple opportunities. It makes us better decision makes so that we can weight our options and problems and strategically solve them. It’s all can summed that math is essentiality of our education system. Every child must be taught math and must be made capable of problem solving. Find Private Teacher London & Experienced Maths Tutor
