Acupuncture can help in keeping your immune system safe from illnesses. And this is good if you are trying to manage asthma. Illnesses like flu or cold can worsen asthma. If acupuncture is helpful in treating asthma, then this is great. Acupuncture can also be used with other treatments. Many acupuncture experts use quite a few methods to treat asthma. They may ask patients to give a special type of massage in addition to breathing exercises. The treatments have no validity, though. Chiropractors depend upon spinal manipulation in order to treat asthma. This theory has mixed reviews. A study compared a fake or sham sort of spinal manipulation done on a team of asthma patients. But the second group had the actual manipulations. Both team showed a little bit different results. This means chiropractic treatments are not that effective when it comes to asthma management. Aside from that, another study was performed. 80 kids were involved in the treatment performed in a chiropractic clinic. All in all, the number of patients reduced by 55% after the treatment was given. Out of 80 kids, 20% were able to leave meds because their condition had improved.
