Stubborn belly fat has plagued the lives of so many men and women, especially in their adult years. After prolonged periods of poor dieting and sedentary lifestyles, isn’t it time for getting rid of belly fat? Since it is an established fact that an accumulation of fat contributes to greater health risks, medical experts highly recommend dieting and exercising to reduce stomach fat. Even while you are at home, there are activities you can do to help lose abdominal fat. Here are some of them: Leg lifts – You can burn abdominal fat as you do this routine daily. Lie on the floor with your feet together, and hands to your sides for support. Raise your heels three inches from the ground, holding them for a few seconds. Now lift both legs up, until they are nearly perpendicular to the floor. Then lower both legs, keeping them a few inches off the floor once more. This counts as one repetition, which can be done ten times per set. Basic crunches – Burning belly fat is also possible with this exercise. Lie on the floor with knees raised and feet flat. Place your hands on your chest or on the sides of your head for support. When doing a crunch, you raise your shoulders and upper back a few inches from the ground, holding the position for a few seconds before lowering back down. Avoid pulling on your neck, as this can result in injury. Crunches can also be done with an exercise ball. Side crunches – Getting rid of belly fat or love handles around the waist can be done through side crunches. The difference from the basic crunch is that the knees are not raised from the floor, but rather they are pointed to either the left or right side. The crunch is done in the same manner, but the targeted muscles are the oblique abs.
