Continuous Financial Support Fundraising should not just focus on episodic solicitation of donations. A non-profit company should always attempt to garner ongoing donations from these various groups in order to reduce the financial instability of their organization. Door to door sales can generate funds from individuals also, which is what the Girl Scouts do with their cookies every year. One of the biggest non-profit sellers of merchandise is Goodwill Industries, with over hundreds of stores located all over the United States. When approaching prospective donors during your fundraiser, have a detailed summary of what your organization has accomplished or plans on accomplishing. Since these corporations and grant providers deal with thousands of other non-profit organizations every year, only the most relevant and effective nonprofits will receive attention and consideration. Make sure you and your organization have a comprehensive understanding of the area in which you operate and can show the potential donors that you have a compelling solution to the problem you are servicing.
