Large keyboard can get mucky at certain times. Although large keyboard being employed by multiple users and all around food will tend to get it dirty quicker. If you clean a keyboard regularly, you can avoid the problems of muggy keys and unsightly dirt. In a relatively clean surroundings, clean a keyboard in every five to six months. If the keyboard is around smokers, food, young children or multiple users, clean it about every three months.
There are two types of large keyboard cleaning options is available. It is depending upon how dirty is your keyboard. You can do a quick cleaning over most of the time and an intensive keyboard cleaning periodically.
To clean a moderately dirty keyboard, start by disconnecting it from the PC. Using a compressed air container or a spray between the keys on keyboard to remove dirt and then shake your keyboard gently upside down to catch the material. Dip a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol and use the swab down the sides and the tops of the keys. Finish up with a cloth, wiping down the keyboard.
If you want to clean a keyboard more deeply, than make it remember it involves a slightly more complex process. Though, it also starts with disconnecting it, but before that takes a map or photo of the keys and then starts removing them, be sure that you keep them all together so that you will not lose any.
You can wipe all the keys down with a cotton swab or with alcohol. Allow them to dry completely, before reattaching them to the large keyboard. I am sure the result will be a sparkling and clean keyboard.
But the fact is that this type of cleaning is appropriate two to three times in a year. Actually this type of keyboard cleaning takes the time to sit down and do the job properly and do not make any rush.
There are certain cautions that you should be taken when you suppose to clean a keyboard. The very first is make sure that the power is off to the keyboard while you clean it. Second, clean a keyboard with a damp cloth or cotton swab. Third has never tried to spray cleaning fluid directly onto the large keyboard. In case, if you are using a vacuum cleaner to clean a keyboard remember that it is not at all appropriate for inside your computer.
