Memorable Quote 1: Truth does not fear investigation!

Memorable Quote 2: Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life!

Author Comment / Biography:
I honestly can’t remember not being a Christian. I recall getting a Catholic Bible from my Uncle John and Aunt Marie with my name printed in it by the manufacturer on the opening page. Being presented with this tool was profoundly influential in my life.My mother is a Catholic and my father was a Protestant immigrant from England who came over by ship to Canada shortly after the Second World War. My dad had chronic bronchitis and because of that his mother and father brought the family to Canada to escape the dampness of England, to help his breathing, not to mention a better life that would be available in North America.

My parents were very good to me and my younger sister Laura, and provided us with as much as they could, even when times were tough. We were blessed. My father always wanted to keep us kids very busy and put us into sports. I started as a speed skater and was good at it, but eventually gravitated to the sport of bicycle racing. I did well at it and actually made the Canadian national team. Cycling, to me, taught me discipline and goal setting.

When my career in sports was over, I did many jobs, but one was highly instrumental in my “awareness” of the creator and directly saved my life in a strange way. I was offered a career in a very large Canadian bank as a mortgage and loans officer. At first when I took the position I was very happy as the earnings were very good. Then one day it hit me concerning banking. We were in the business of turning down the loans! I bought into it for a while, but I was heading down the wrong path and with me being a “positive” person it was destructive. It would always hurt my heart to turn down a young couple’s mortgage application, and it would wound me inside. As a direct symptom, I was drinking and partying very heavily and compounding that with the stress of my “chosen” career, I was unknowingly on deaths door. Then the day came that changed my life forever. After a week or so of heavy drinking I felt very ill. I remember calling into work and telling my manager that I wasn’t feeling well and could not come in to work. My heart was doing some strange things. It was fluttering and I was losing my breath to the point of gasping. Then “it” happened. I was lying in my bed feeling extremely ill, but also fully awake and lucid. Directly to the right of me, as if someone was lying with me, I heard the words distinctly, “Take care of your body and I will take care of the rest”. In retrospect this would normally scare someone silly! However, it comforted me. Thinking back on that day I now KNOW that it was God speaking to me. The voice was neither male nor female, but it said “I” will take care of the rest. How amazing! I still get goose bumps thinking about that day! I have been spared! Praise GOD!

I have tried my best to uphold those words, as best as a mortal can do. Sometimes I think I could still be a better man, but as a human I am a sinner and I fail. The road to God has led me to the world of Christian Apologetics. By definition it is the defense of the Christian faith. I have been in total immersion of that discipline and have been ordained by God, through the National Association of Christian Ministers. I believe that I have been guided that direction by God, and I also believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Through him ALL is possible!

71. Yikes! Mormons Believe This?
February 11, 2013

One of a few cults that will come knocking on your door is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints aka The Mormons. There are heresies and non-Christian doctrine that they preach and you should be aware of them. Yes I did type that they NON-CHRISTIAN! Beware! Ultimately they deny the Biblica...

72. Terminology Tuesday: Naturalism, Natural Theology
January 29, 2013

Naturalism sometimes refers to a form of atheism and materialism that maintains that the “natural” universe (composed of energy and matter and based on natural laws) is the sum total of reality, thereby negating human freedom, absolute values and, ultimately, existential meaning. As an ethical theor...

73. What is "Reformed Theology" and the "Five Scripturas"?
January 25, 2013

It is a movement that originated by Martin Luther in the 16th Century. Since that time it has perhaps been better known as Calvinism. Calvinism is a biblical focused Theological movement, that objectively states that God is Sovereign, God’s elects and redeems, they are secure in Christ’s work and th...

74. Joseph, Husband of Mary; the Quintessential Husband!
January 24, 2013

When reading Matthew the first book of the Gospels one cannot possibly think of Joseph, Mary’s Husband as nothing but virtuous. As we read in verse 1: 18,

18 The birth of Jesus Christ came about this way: After His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, it was discovered before they came ...

75. What Is So Great About Buddhism? A Brief Comparison between Buddhism and Christianity
January 24, 2013

- Buddhism says God is not important – Christianity says that not only is God important and vital, the Christian God is “knowable” and can be “enjoyed”

76. My Favorite Christian Apologetic's Quotations Pt.3
January 23, 2013

“If we Christians don’t continue to share the gospel and push the envelope, the envelope will close in on us. If we maintain a ‘silent witness,’ there will be no witness, and Christianity will die in America.”

Ray Thorne

“All truth is given by revelation, either general or special, a...

77. Terminology Tuesday: Homophony
January 22, 2013

Homophony is defined as a copyist error where the copyist writes a word with a different meaning for another word when both words have the exact same pronunciation. The word comes from the Greek word homophonía dating back to 1770-80 AD. An example of this would be writing the letter “T” and confus...

79. "Christmas And The Attack On Christianity" A Revisited Post.
December 24, 2012

I thought I would re-post this article as I am still reading a lot of utter nonsense about Christmas!

It amazes me on how much can come out of the Miracle of Christmas. How so many people and faiths show their true colors, including the world view/religion of Atheism and Paganism. The confus...

80. Is Being An Atheist Bad For Your Health?
December 24, 2012

In my experience with atheists, I have found most of them to be unhappy individuals (not all, but most of my encounters). I have found them to be not only unhappy, but downright miserable when it comes to chat rooms or forum debates. I took a bit of time out for research and was somewhat surprised t...
