It's little surprise that the Blackhawks are now playing in the Stanley Cup wagering finals. The team has dominated the NHL wagering event all series long. No team has been as dependable or as dominating as the Blackhawks during the NHL playoff wagering, and a major reason for that has been the outstanding play of team captain Jonathan Toews. But in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup odds action, Toews was nowhere to be found. The Hawks require a lot more out Toews than they got in game 1 of the most critical series in hockey wagering if they want to wrap up their first Stanley Cup wagering championship in decades. Toews has been nothing short of brilliant through the Western Conference Finals wagering event. Through the previous 16 hockey betting games in the NHL playoff probabilities event leading up to the Stanley Cup wagering finals he had scored 26 points (7 goals, 19 assists). Nobody was playing on his level and it seemed as if the greater the game, the greater he played in the NHL playoff wagering thus far. But Game 1 of the Stanley Cup odds event was a game he would like to forget. It was his worst performance in the NHL playoff betting this year and he failed to score a point for the first time in 13 playoff hockey betting games, snapping his team record. He was virtual non factor with no real meaningful contribution in his team's 6-5 victory and just one shot on goal. Philadelphia may end up regretting Game 1 as they truly let the game get away. Chicago's best players Jonathaw Toews, Patrick Kane and Dustin Byfuglien were awful when they went a combined minus-9 in the game. Philadelphia still lost despite not doing a single penalty. The Blackhawks know that they likely stole a game they shouldn't have won. Philadelphia were underdogs to start with, and this does not bode well for them. The underdog nearly never wins the NHL wagering series when they don't win a match they should. Chicago proved they can win without their top line accomplishing anything and when they didn't have a single power play. In Game 2 on Monday, when they beat the Flyers 2-1, they played a much better game. In spite of Toews having an off night the team was still for some reason able to get the Stanley Cup wagering win at home. That's good news for Chicago fans. Further, the team exploded for a mind-blowing 6 goals. If you were to tell a Blackhawks fan beforehand that the team would score 6 goals without a single assist or goal by Toews they would have liked their team's chances in the NHL wagering probabilities. Chicago's offense thrived despite hardly any contribution from Toews and that's an excellent sign. Marion Hossa, a Stanley Cup wagering veteran, stepped up majorly and was crucial to the win. But there's no doubt that if the Blackhawks want to end this Stanley Cup wagering series on their own terms, they require more from Toews.
