Karl Lagerfeld shocked the style world with his thoughts on Alexander Wang becoming the new inventive director for Balenciaga. Lagerfeld, the opinionated Chanel designer, gave Wang his blessing. Style Bistro reported on Dec. 5 that Lagerfeld congratulated Alexander Wang on his venture with Balenciaga. Karl also complimented Nicolas Ghesquiere on his 15-year tenure using the fashion residence. Style Bistro got their hands on the e-mail that Lagerfeld sent. Within the e-mail, Lagerfeld mentioned the following:

On Monday, Dec. three, Balenciaga confirmed the news that Alexander Wang would grow to be the new inventive director for the French style house. He are going to be taking over for past inventive director and style designer, Nicolas Ghesquiere. Style critics and journalists wonder if Wang is often a great fit for the luxury avant-garde brand. Some are worried that he'll alter Balenciaga into a relaxed and casual style collection.
In late November, Nicolas Ghesquiere announced his departure from Balenciaga. He shocked the fashion world when he stated that he could be stepping down soon after 15 years. Ghesquiere told the press that it was a selection that him and Balenciaga created with each other.
