Michael Chiarello is an award-winning chef and owner of critically acclaimed Bottega restaurant in the Napa Valley. He created his mark by combining his Southern Italian roots together with the distinctive hallmarks of Napa Valley living. From his earliest childhood experiences developed about his mother California kitchen with his extended Italian family members of butchers, cheese makers and ranchers Michael dreamed of becoming a chef one particular day. Decades later, he has realized his dream and far more. Throughout his achievements, he incorporates his passion for seasonal, sustainable living as well as the artisan purveyors who make it achievable into his endeavors. His unique perspective on very good meals and healthful living, spiced having a dose of Old World charm, inspires good friends and loved ones to make meaningful memories around the table. His passion for a food-centric life is shared with his fans, restaurant guests, television viewers and Napa Valley guests alike. Michael was named Chef on the Year by Meals Wine magazine in 1985, just three years right after graduating from the CIA. He received the CIA Chef of your Year Award in 1995 and was named CIA 2011 Alumni with the Year. Michael books have received awards and nominations from both IACP and James Beard Foundation. Inside the mid-90s, his specialty food innovations earned his olive oil company, Consorzio Flavored Oils, the ideal Item Line Award at the International Fancy Meals Show. Right after turning his enthusiasm for sustainability to his personal vineyards in 1999, he produced Chiarello Loved ones Vineyards, and his small-production wines are regularly high-scoring. And due to the fact 2000, Michael has been the tastemaker behind the NapaStyle retail line of artisanal foods, kitchenware and residence decor. Michael has been a national tv host of his personal shows for more than a decade on PBS, Meals Network and Cooking Channel, and he has appeared on the highest-rated food competitors shows on tv, as well. His Emmy Award show, Uncomplicated Entertaining with Michael Chiarello, began in 2003 and nonetheless airs every day. In 2009 he took second location as a finalist on Bravo inaugural Prime Chef Masters, and he has appeared as a judge on Top Chef and Top rated Chef Masters. Within the fall of 2011, he will join one more hugely rated cooking show, The following Iron Chef, also on Food Network. A well-known celebrity guest chef, Michael is often a regular contributor to NBC The Currently Show, CBS The Early Show, Martha Stewart Living Radio, Regis Kelly and the San Francisco Chronicle Scoop Voices column.
