Memorable Quote 1: I government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take it all away - Barry Goldwater

Memorable Quote 2: it can be proven with facts and figures that Congress is the only native criminal class in America - Mark Twain

Author Comment / Biography:
My name is Bruno Korschek and I currently live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. I have a BS in Mathematics from the University of Delaware and an MS in Statistics, also from Delaware. I spent over twenty two years in various business and market analysis jobs with a Fortune 100 company and for the past twelve years I have operated a successful family bussiness that I started in 1998. For over 35 years I have been fasciinated with the interplay between freedom and politics, concluding that they are inversely related: the more power politicians gain, the less liberty American have. This conclusoin and my other research led to the publication of my first book in late 2009, "Love My Country, Loathe My Governmnet - Fifty First Steps To Restoring Our Freedom and Destroying The American Political Class."

161. State Governments: Immobile, Going Broke, and High On Wine
November 16, 2010

Many state and local governments are heading towards financial insolvency as a result of their state employee pension and retiree medical liabilities. Consider an article from the October 18, 2010 issue of Businessweek magazine:

- According to a study by the University of Rochester and North...

162. Using Smart Americans To Solve Our Naiotnal Debt Crisis Vs, Using Our Political Class
November 16, 2010

I know the title today is a little cruel but I believe it is true. The Federal government's debt that the political class has run up over the decades is now at shocking levels, levels that may take generations of future Americans to pay off. The issue was a major factor in the recent midterm electio...

163. While You Were Out - A Memo To The American Political Class
November 13, 2010

Dear American Political Class:

While you were all out campaigning over the past month or so, the following events happened that might be of interest to you and which you may not be aware of or sensitive to:

- While you were out campaigning, many of you spending millions of dollars of...

164. The Obscenity, Pervasiveness, and Perversion Of Money In Our Election Process
November 05, 2010

As the mid-term election campaign season mercifully ends, it seems like it would be a good time to do some accounting and show how much money as perverted and pervaded our election processes and provide some steps on how to end this obscenity of spending. Consider the following results:

- A ...

165. The Obama Adminstraiotn 2010 Vs. George Orwell "1984"
November 01, 2010

I cannot help feeling that the Obama administration, and the entire American political class, has some frightening similarities to the dysfunctional and totalitarian government that George Orwell foresaw in his classic novel, "1984." The loss of freedom, the frightening rise in power by the ruling ...

166. I'm Tired... And That Is Why I Voted Republican For The First Time Ever
November 01, 2010

Earlier this week I submitted my mail-in ballot for the pertinent Florida political races that affect me. Up until that time, I took pride in truthfully stating that I had never voted for a Republican for national office in my life (I am 57 years old). However, that all changed this time around, it ...

167. The Fiscal Insanity That Is Our Election Process
October 27, 2010

As the midterm election process finally and gratefully draws to a close, it seems like it would be a good time to review the insanity that has entrenched itself in our electoral process when it comes to campaign spending. Consider a recent Washington Post online article by Ruth Marcus that appeared ...

168. The Lies and Conflicts Of Interest That Are Our Political Class and Banks
October 27, 2010

Consider the sleazy, conflict of interest behavior of our political class that has occurred over the past year or so:

- In the middle of the TARP bank bailout discussion and debate, the Associated Press reported that Congresswoman Ginny Waite Brown from Florida was actively trading stocks of...

169. And You Thought The Federal Government Was In Dire Financial Straits
October 27, 2010

Many experts from different fields have talked about how dangerously high the Federal government's debts and spending are and how that debt and spending threaten the very solvency of the country. Just in the last three fiscal years during which the Democrats controlled Congress, including the first...

170. The Ever Growing and Ever More Dangerous National Government Debt
October 17, 2010

Another distressing Associated Press article on October 15, 2010 reviewed the latest and depressing news on out of control government spending. According to the article, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) is estimating that the Federal government deficit for the 2010 budget year will total $1.29 ...
