Find out where your target audience participates and get engaged. Answer questions, ask questions and be a resource. 3. Find something news-worthy about your business and reach out to local media directly or national media by sending a press release through http://PRWeb.com. 5. Start a local networking group through http://Meetup.com. Make it interesting and engaging for your target audience. 6. Connect with your peers. Invite them to a brainstorming session either online or in person and figure out how you can support each other. 7. Create incentive for others to refer business your way such as a finder’s fee or a gift card. Promote your “Refer a Friend” program to your networks. 8. Get on Facebook and be interesting. Avoid endless self-promotion and instead engage, share useful information and demonstrate value. 9. Invite your top five customers to lunch, dinner or an event. Take time to get to know them. The rest will fall into place. 10. Instead of the same old tired promotions, be unique. Host a special event for a whole month. Give stuff away, record videos from unexpected locations, turn your prices upside down—whatever it takes to grab attention in an interesting way. There is a lot of noise out there.
