Author Comment / Biography: Paul R. Dorf is the Managing Director of Compensation Resources, Inc. He is responsible for directing consulting services in all areas of executive compensation, short and long-term incentives, sales compensation, performance management systems, and pay-for-performance salary administration. He has over 40 years of Human Resource and Compensation experience and has held various executive positions with a number of large corporate organizations. He also has over 20 years of direct consulting experience as head of the Executive Compensation Consulting Practices for major accounting and actuarial/benefit consulting firms, including KPMG, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (formerly Touche Ross), and Kwasha Lipton.
Since 1972, Mr. Dorf has also provided compensation consulting expertise to various law firms, and qualifies as an expert witness in compensation and related matters. Mr. Dorf has provided expert opinion and has testified in numerous litigation support cases in both Federal and State Courts.
Mr. Dorf received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Personnel, Labor Relations from Hofstra University and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Industrial Relations from the University of Bridgeport and the College of William and Mary, and a Ph.D. in Management Analysis from Cambridge International University and Walden University. For the past 20 years, he has been on the faculty and taught various Human Resource and Compensation courses at various universities, including Boston University, Temple University, and Ryder College.
Mr. Dorf is widely quoted in newspapers and business publications, and has appeared on numerous televised business programs. He has been a featured speaker at national conferences throughout the United States and internationally. These include American Management Association, WorldatWork, and Society for Human Resource Management, as well as many other professional and business organizations.
Mr. Dorf was awarded an Accredited Personnel Diplomat (APD), the highest level of Personnel Accreditation, by the American Society of Personnel Administration (ASPA) and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from WorldatWork.
